Today my project was to get some pureeing done. Several of my blogging friends have mentioned Jessica Seinfeld's book "Deceptively Delicious," and seeing as I'm recommitting to healthy meals around here, I decided to check it out. My freezer now contains a few bags each of zuchinni, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. I figure I better stock up so I'm ready to go with them next week when Coop is back.
I've also been enjoying this read:

I've had it on my shelf for over a year and either didn't make time or is didn't suit my mood, but I decided to give it a shot and at the half-way mark, I'm quite liking it.
Mostly, however, I'm enjoying this:
and this:
However it still seems he is like this more during the daylight hours and less at night, but we're working on getting that turned around! A few benefits to being wide awake from 3-6 a.m.? First, I got a fair amount of reading in and second, the three of us all slept very soundly from 10 a.m. until noon! I can not remember the last time that happened!
Next projects: get titles and journaling finished on the scrapbook layouts of our cruise and get clean sheets on the guest room bed in preparation for dad. Man, the things you can accomplish at home if you never leave the house!
p.s. Katelyn has big big news... I could share, but it would be worth your time to check it out yourself... let's just say I'm beyond excited!

I'm amazed! You're reading a good book and pureeing food with two babies! I got that book for Christmas and I don't even know where it is. I've been wanting to read a good book forever. I guess its all about organizing your time really well huh? Love it...I think you might be Wonder Woman.
I've got plenty of unfinished projects going on over here, you know, if you've got extra time on your hands...
Seneca is so adorable! I just want to kiss her little cheeks.
You are so amazing--getting so much done with two little babies. I'm sure having Cooper at the grandparents' is helpful, but still!!
I am glad you are able to get so much done. That is not the case for me this week, but the next one will be better.
Have you tried any of the recipes out of that book yet? I have tried 5 or 6 and I am loving it! I would recommend if you make the french toast add a little bit of vanilla. I made it with mulitgrain bread and added the flax seed - it was just to much, I used pineapple puree so next time I am going to use the banana and see what it tastes like. Tomorrow for Valentines I am making the kids the pancakes with the beet puree so it turns them pink and then i am going to make them heart shaped. Let me know what you think when you try the recipes and if you find any good tips let me know too! www.loveumostertoaster.blogspot.com/
seriously, could you be more productive? you just gave birth (not fun!), and have two little ones and one not so little one and you are pureeing? needless to say, i plan to be you when i grow up.
Hi--You don't know me, but I've checked out your blog periodically :) I found you through Erin S., who once used you as an example of someone with a positive attitude. It's been fun to check in with you from time to time, and I thought I'd introduce myself as well as congratulate you on the new addition to your family! Take care, Lori
I just read Katelyn's blog and that is so great. Yea!! And I stocked my freezer last Sunday. Now to make the meals. :) At least I got the hard part over right. And about the Kite Runner. I read it a few months ago and actually really liked it. I heard so many bad things about it, but I still found it captivating.
I've been curious about that cookbook! Nice work on pureeing so many different veggies! I'll be interested to hear how it all turns out!
You're an amazing momma taking care of such precious little souls! You have a beautiful family!
