It’s fair to say I was ready to rip out my hair today.
A certain someone is having a lot of trouble staying in her bed.
Funny thing, instead of ripping out my hair, she decided to cut hers rather than snoozing. It’s all crimpy from being in french braids the past two days.
Just a few new layers around the face….
Mama/ Daughter haircuts coming right up!

Oh that is maddening! Zack is having the same trouble going to bed tonight. It has been a 45 minute battle. bug. bug. bug.
oh no! Not her beautiful long hair!? Hide all scissors! That little stinker.
Does she need to come see me?? Do YOU need her to come see me?
Oh MY - I have to say that's way more than Manda EVER cut off. I want to see a good mullet picture...
OH,Finn's was just a little snip on top, but its curly so it blended in. I have to say, I took a deep breath of shock when I saw the picture. As for Finn, I've resorted to the fact that if I want him to take a nap, I have to lay down with him. Best of luck with her.
Oh NO! This is my worst fear!!! I can't tell you how many kids I have "fixed" from self cuts. Good luck with the fix!
Cheyanne's friend gave her a little cut when they were younger...luckily it was underneath & in the back. She just couldn't resist those curls! Luckily Cheyanne did the hack job on Raggity Ann's yarn hair (Sorry, Grandma Delores)instead of retaliating on Blakeley's long hair. I think it's a rite of passage for kids. But...you might want to hide ALL the scissors.
I'm sorry!! Why does is hair such an emotional thing? I want to cry for you.
Good thing it was after she said her first word! She's a little motor mouth, so that's good. And I'm with Shelly, let's see the collateral damage with her little face included. Whenever T sees scissors she says, "DANGER!!!" But is fascinated with them none the less...note to self...
Oh my!!! That looks like a lot of hair. We haven't had any hair cutting disasters around here yet (knock on wood). Good luck with fixing her hair, and not ripping yours out.
:) I do believe Emma gave herself at least 4 self cuts during the toddler years. And funny that it's Annie's worst fear because I clearly remember her doing that to herself when she was supposed to be napping and my mom was outside washing blinds in the driveway. Oh and it was of course, the day before preschool pictures. Nice.
Never a fun moment. A has only given herself one serious cut, and luckily because T told on her it was limited to some front layers but it is the sight that scares all mommies of little girls. Good luck.
P.S. Your new homestead looks lovely. Enjoy.
